The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for running the store at a profit and supervising employees. To attract a clientele and move merchandise, assistant managers make sure that their store offers products and services that satisfy the needs and desires of their customers.
Responsibilities

Sales Management
- Ability to meet the sales quota and increasing the sales per period
- Concentrate on impulse sales efforts and incremental sales efforts
- Achieving the overall Revenue and Sales Target
- Respond to changes in store financials – to include evaluating and implementing Sales strategies, monitoring Consumer Product Preferences, Consumer Demographics, Store Traffic, etc.
Store Operations Management
- Being detailed oriented to help with the purchase “Log process” that the Company currently used to maintain knowledge of the store’s weekly gross margin results
- Ensure that the following Operations processes are managed accurately: Pricing in accurate and timely manner in order to ensure the margins and revenue, Ordering and receiving merchandise according to demand (forecasting) , Stock Grocery, Keeping Taqueria Standards, Produce freshness and visually attractive, Store Opening and Closing, Avoiding shrink and all other forms of waste (Produce, Bakery and Meat Market), Scanning, Cash Deposit and reconciliation with the financial department
- Working with the Merchandising and Marketing team to establish promotional displays and in store specials
- Utilizing best practices to achieve total store productivity
Business Management - Keeping the cost within the cost budgets
- Ability to Negotiate with vendors in order to achieve the store metrics and goals
- Analyze reports and take necessary actions based on the analysis
- Extract reports like sales report, promotions reports, pricing list and take action based on the information obtained
People Management
- Ability to set the agenda and bring team members along to execute
- Ensure that team is highly motivated and works with clear goals
- Be the coach, teacher, trainer, and mentor for others to follow

- Must have 3 to 4 years of management and sales experience in a grocery, food service, or retail environment
