Store Manager

Job Title: Store Manager

Experience Required:

  • 3- 5 years in grocery/ retail experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and managing teams
  • Ability to plan and forecast over one to two year time span
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Problem analysis and problem solution at both strategic and a functional level
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Negotiation skills
  • High performance teams and a strong team player
  • Commitment to Company values
  • Knowledge of baking, meat cutting and/or restaurants
  • Computer, E-mail, Excel, Word
  • Fluent Spanish language is required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customer Expectations
    Offers Superior Customer Service
    Handles and resolves Customer complaints in a positive, calm, and tactful manner
    Ensures that all Federal, State, and Company regulations and standards for product freshness food safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met
    Ensures facility and equipment are properly maintained and in good repair to ensure product integrity and employee safety
    Ensures appropriate inventory levels
  • Employee Expectations
    Maintains positive store environment
    Provides accurate, timely, and honest feedback to others about their performance
  • Operating Expectations
    Ensures SOP compliance in every department
    Utilizes best practices to achieve total store productivity
    Identifies opportunities to reduce shrink
    Shares in the responsibility for total store contribution

Other Duties:

  • Establishes documents and maintains quality standards, operating systems and processes
  • For new stores, assist in hiring taqueria & panaderia supervisors, train staff, and provide assistance in determining labor hours needed
  • For new stores review design, equipment placement, test equipment and ensure all smallwares and equipment are in place
  • Work closely with regional leadership to ensure effective execution of all programs through frequent store visits and timely communications
  • Implement merchandising and marketing programs for the store
  • Accountable for other duties, assignments or projects assigned by District Manager

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Lift light loads -Bend -Reach -Kneeling -Squatting -Vision for attention to detail
  • The position should be able to handle customer complaints in a professional, courteous manner
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
